Tattoo Booking

FAQs

  • Flash tattoos are designs that have been pre-drawn and generally must be taken as is, without changes. I will sometimes accept requests to change small details. Please ask at the time of your booking submission, not after!

The designs below are all flash that I have drawn and would love to tattoo! If there’s a little red dot next to the number, that means that that flash design has already been claimed.

If you fall in love with a flash that has already been claimed, you can always request a custom tattoo based on that original design and I’ll happily draw you something similar!

  • A custom tattoo may be requested for a few different reasons;

-if you see a flash design that is already claimed

-if you see a flash you like but would like to alter it

-if you have an idea and you think it would fit with my style

To request a custom tattoo, please give as much detail as possible on the design that you want without necessarily describing the personal significance of the concept. An example of a custom request I am likely to accept:

“I would like a custom bunny, knitting, in red and blue, around 3-5inches, for my upper arm."

A rough sketch is enormously helpful when requesting a custom tattoo. Please do your best to avoid sending me references of other peoples work when requesting your custom tattoo.

If you would like me to tattoo someone else’s drawing, this can be done on a case by case basis upon compensation of the original artist and with their permission.

All custom tattoos incur an additional, non-refundable $50 drawing fee. This fee covers the time it takes for me to draw and revise your custom design as many times as necessary for you to be satisfied with the design. This $50 drawing fee will be added to your final total at the end of your tattoo session. The drawing fee will NOT be subtracted from the final price of your tattoo. It is an additional charge.

After I have received your deposit, I will get started on your custom tattoo design. I will do my best to send your design to you via email at least 1 week prior to your appointment in order to make any/all revisions beforehand. If I do not hear from you regarding revisions before your appointment, there is a chance you will need to reschedule your appointment as I do not always have time to work on drawings during your appointment time.

  • All pricing is in CAD. All pricing is subject to change at any time.

My pricing begins flat rate and is hourly after the flat rate is met. Sessions less than 1 hours will be flat rate $175. After the first hour, the hourly sliding scale rate applies, which is $110-$150/hour. *When I am doing a guest spot in a different city, a different hourly rate will likely apply to account for travel costs and the cut given to the host studio.

The level of detail, placement, whether its colour or black, and many other factors affect how long a tattoo can take. That being said here’s a general guideline:

    1-2” tattoo = $175-250

    3-4” tattoo = $250-450

    5-6” tattoo = $450-600

    7”+ tattoo = $650-1000

*I am generally very willing to collaborate with you to find something that meets your ideas for your tattoo and your budget as well! Feel free to ask me to break down your options.

*You may schedule an appointment for a tiny tattoo, but please note that the price is $175 for one hour or less of tattooing. However if you would like to add a tiny tattoo to an existing appointment, the standard hourly rate will apply. Tiny tattoos range from 5 minutes in duration to 30 minutes additional time on your tattoo appointment.

  • I do not tattoo ribs, inner upper arm(inner bicep), stomach, face, and upper hip/pubic area. These areas are painful and tricky parts of the body to tattoo, so to ensure I can give you the best finished tattoo possible, I have decided to limit the placement of where my tattoos may be.

  • I am based in Montreal, QC at Interlude tattoo studio. I do travel to the west coast and often guest in Vancouver and Victoria. Other east coast locations I’m likely to visit in the near future include Toronto, Boston, and NYC.

  • If you’ve already paid your deposit and want to change your flash, thats totally understandable! However this can cause some issues if the new tattoo you want won’t take the same amount of time as the previous one you’re already scheduled in for! In order to avoid as much back and forth as possible, you will be permitted to change your entire design one time free of charge, but any subsequent changes after that will be charged an additional $20.

If you want to request changes be made to a flash that you have already paid a deposit for, feel free to ask, but these will be granted on a case by case basis. I encourage you to take your time before booking so that you are sure of what you want and can make any requests to change things before making your deposit.

  • Legal age in Canada for tattoos is 18 years old. Although some artists may accept minors as clients with permission from a legal guardian, personally I feel more comfortable if you wait a year or two more before getting your tattoo with me! It will be worth the wait!!

  • Coloured ink fades quicker than black ink over time, but if applied properly should fade naturally and evenly. This is the nature of inks that are less pigmented. Dark blue and red, which I often use in my work, are fairly pigmented and last quite well. Yellow, green, pink, white, orange are a bit less saturated and will likely fade a bit quicker. Fading for coloured ink and black ink is a natural part of the aging process of tattoos as our skin ages and is exposed to the sun over time. Applying sunscreen to your tattoos diligently will greatly increase the lifespan of your coloured tattoos.

  • I tattoo everyone! You are entitled to a free colour test that can be scheduled a minimum of 2 weeks prior to your appointment to test various inks. If you do not want to opt for a colour test, I will do my best to research how to mix colours specifically for your skin tone! If you think this would apply to you please mention it in my booking form so I can be prepared for your appointment.

I have lots of experience tattooing mid-brown skin tones such as south asian and mixed folx. I have minimal experience tattooing darker skin tones but I am more than happy to! If you would like to see some pictures of work I've done on darker skin tones feel free to reach out, or scroll down in my instagram grid to find them.

  • Do:

-get a good night’s sleep the night before your appointment

-moisturize the area you will get tattooed with unscented moisturizer the day before your appointment

    -shower before your appointment

-wear loose fitting clothing that provides easy access to the area and that you won’t mind getting a bit of ink on by accident!

-bring snacks and water to your appointment

-go to the bank and withdraw cash for your tattoo(If you’re not sure how much, go with whatever you put as your budget, plus a bit extra if your budget is flexible)

-email me if you have any questions/concerns

-bring headphones in case you will want to listen to your own music/podcast during your appointment

-plan ahead to account for traffic or other transportation issues so you will be on time!

    Don’t:

-wear strong scents (perfumes/cologne) to your appointment

-bring a friend to your appointment unless cleared with me ahead of time

-consume drugs or alcohol within 24hrs of your appointment (if you show up inebriated in any way your appointment will be cancelled and your deposit forfeit)

  • For 2 weeks after your appointment:

-If you opted for second skin, keep your second skin on for 24hrs-4 days. When you’re ready to take it off, hop in the shower and let the hot water melt the adhesive. Then pull veeery slowly.

-If the second skin starts to peel off on its own, remove it immediately. Sticking it back down could trap some dirt inside and cause an infection.

-No still water i.e. swimming pools, lakes, oceans, bathtubs, ponds, puddles, etc. Showers are okay, but still water may contain bacteria that could cause an infection in your new tattoo!

-No sun exposure or sunscreen. Cover that tattoo! Wear long sleeves or pants, or at the minimum tie a bandana over your fresh tattoo if you will be in the sun for a while. UV rays will fade your healing tattoo at warp speed and will also disqualify you from getting a free touchup.

-Wash gently twice a day with unscented soap and water, pat dry with paper towel or air dry to avoid adding bacteria that could be hanging out in your bath towel

-Moisturize dry and flaking tattoo with unscented and non-clogging moisturizer to prevent scabs from getting ripped off before they are ready! I like to use jojoba oil because it's non-comedogenic so it won’t clog your pores! I would not suggest coconut oil or vaseline. Lots of clients opt for a gentle moisturizer from Cerave.

-Do not scratch your tattoo! It’s gonna get itchy but you have to resist! Moisturize it instead. Wear loose fitting clothing to reduce friction on the healing tattoo.

Email me a picture or any questions you might have during the healing process! I’m more than happy to weigh in.

  • I started learning how to tattoo in 2018. I have been working full time as a tattoo artist since 2021. I am a self/community taught artist.
